Jeollanam-do and its cities and counties are making every effort to successfully host the 2025 National Sports Festival for All, the largest sports-for-all event in Korea, which will be held in Jeonnam from April 24 to 27 next year.

On the 25th, Jeollanam-do held a joint preparation status meeting for the 2025 National Sports Festival for All at the Seo Jae-pil Room in the provincial government building, presided over by Governor Kim Yungrok. The meeting was attended by over 40 people, including representatives from the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency, Jeonnam Sports Council, and 12 cities and counties.

During the meeting, overall preparations were reviewed, ranging from safety measures for a secure event this year, to accommodation and food, transportation, medical services, environment, and event operations.

In particular, there was also discussion on the recent outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease and countermeasures. Jeonnam Province is focusing on quarantine measures around the stadiums and has prepared contingency plans, such as searching for alternative venues in case of emergencies.

All 57 stadiums where the festival will be held have completed safety inspections for facilities, electricity, gas, and fire safety, and supplementary measures are currently underway.

Renovations for 16 stadiums in 12 cities and counties are expected to be completed by early April. After the festival, these facilities will continue to be used for various purposes, including sports-for-all activities and off-season training.

The opening ceremony, which marks the start of the festival, will be held on April 25 at Mokpo General Stadium. Under the theme "OK! Now Jeonnam, Energy UP Sports-for-All!", the event will be a festival for everyone, featuring performances by Park Jihyun, Lyn, TripleS, and Hwang Yunseong.

On April 26, a special "W Show" performance will welcome athletes in Mokpo, the main host city. In addition, various local cultural events such as the Hwasun Dolmen Spring Flower Festival, Hampyeong Butterfly Festival, and Sinan 1004 Piano Island Festival will be held to create synergy with the sports festival.

Jeonnam Province has conducted price stabilization campaigns and hospitality and hygiene training for accommodation and food service providers, which are key elements in welcoming guests. During the event, a comprehensive information center for accommodation and food service businesses will also be operated to promptly address any inconveniences faced by athletes and visitors.

About 1,050 volunteers and 5,000 provincial supporters, who played a key role in the successful hosting of the festival over the past two years, are making final preparations and awaiting the arrival of the athletes.

Governor Kim emphasized, "We will host a successful 2025 National Sports Festival for All where everyone becomes one through sports," and added, "We will prioritize safety until the very end through thorough on-site inspections and use the event as an opportunity to revitalize the local economy."
