Hwaseong-si Proactive Administration Rated 'Excellent' for 3 Consecutive Years by Ministry of the Interior and Safety

Excellent Cases Highlighted, Including Disaster Site Command Vehicle Utilizing Drones

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 25th that it has been selected as an excellent institution for three consecutive years in the 'Comprehensive Evaluation of Proactive Administration by Local Governments' conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The Comprehensive Evaluation of Proactive Administration is a system in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety comprehensively evaluates the performance of proactive administration promotion, including the spread and establishment of a proactive administrative culture in the public service, targeting 243 metropolitan and basic local governments nationwide.

In this evaluation, the city explained that it received excellent scores in various areas such as related system improvements, efforts by the head of the institution, and cases of handling current issues by the Proactive Administration Committee.

In this evaluation, Hwaseong City was highly rated for introducing a disaster site command vehicle using drone technology for the first time in the country, establishing a rapid disaster response system. The city was also recognized for an excellent proactive administration case by abolishing shadow regulations that had lasted for 30 years and improving the system to allow water supply construction applications even in winter.

Previously, in addition to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Comprehensive Evaluation of Proactive Administration, the city achieved results such as ▲ the 'Grand Prize' at the 2024 Gyeonggi Province Proactive Administration Best Practices Competition ▲ selection as an 'Excellent Institution' in the 2024 Local Regulatory Innovation Performance Evaluation.
