Cheongsong County Holds 18th Cancer Prevention Day Campaign

Gyeongsangbuk-do Cheongsong County Public Health Medical Center (Director Yoon Hongbae) held a campaign at Cheongsong Market on March 24 to mark the 18th ‘Cancer Prevention Day’ (March 21), raising awareness among local residents about the importance of cancer prevention and the necessity of early screening.

This campaign focused on promoting the ‘10 Rules for Cancer Prevention,’ emphasizing the practice of healthy lifestyle habits. Various promotional activities were conducted to encourage participation in the national cancer screening program, including distributing stool sample containers to boost colorectal cancer screening among the elderly.


Cheongsong County Governor Yoon Kyunghee also attended the event, engaging directly with residents to share cancer prevention guidelines and encourage their participation in screenings, lending strong support to the campaign.


Yoon Kyunghee stated, “Cancer prevention is most effective when it involves not only individual efforts but also the interest and participation of the local community. Cheongsong County will actively support all residents so that everyone can protect their health from cancer. In particular, I urge those eligible for cancer screening this year (an odd-numbered year) not to miss the opportunity and to make sure to participate in the screening.”
