The 6th general meeting of shareholders of SKIET was held that morning at the SK Seorin Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The agenda items, including the appointment of Lee Sang-min as an inside director, the appointment of Ahn Jin-ho as an outside director, and the approval of the director remuneration limit for 2025, were all approved as originally proposed.

CEO Lee is a technical expert who has built experience in various fields such as business development and marketing, starting as a researcher at SK Innovation. In particular, he served as head of the Green Growth Development Office at SK Enmove, where he successfully established new businesses such as lubricants for electric vehicles in a short period, earning recognition for his expertise and business execution capabilities.

The appointment of Ahn Jin-ho as an outside director was also approved. SKIET reappointed Ahn Jin-ho, a professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Hanyang University, who brings extensive practical and research experience in the materials field, thereby enhancing the board’s expertise.

In the business report presented that day, SKIET stated that demand for non-Chinese materials is expected to expand among secondary battery companies aiming to enter the U.S. market. Taking advantage of this situational benefit, SKIET plans to strengthen customer-centric management by securing differentiated cost competitiveness and enhancing technological capabilities. In fact, SKIET signed a separator supply contract worth 290 billion KRW in February and is currently discussing new supply agreements with various domestic and international customers.

CEO Lee said, “We will strengthen SKIET’s fundamental competitiveness and make this year a year of new leap forward,” adding, “In particular, by making customer-centric management a core value, we will strive to achieve results in our global customer diversification strategy and enhance corporate value.”
