Life and Non-Life Insurance Association Donates 100 Million Won for Wildfire Damage Recovery

The Life Insurance and Non-life Insurance Associations have donated a total of 100 million KRW in relief funds to support the recovery of wildfire-affected areas nationwide and assist disaster victims.


The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee and the Non-life Insurance Social Contribution Council each donated 50 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross, the associations announced on the 25th.

The funds will be used for emergency relief activities in wildfire-affected areas and to provide disaster victims with daily necessities, hygiene products, blankets, emergency kits, and other support.


The Non-life Insurance Social Contribution Council plans to support 'Hope House,' a temporary housing facility, to ensure housing stability for disaster victims who lost their homes after the wildfire containment.


Kim Cheol-ju, Chairman of the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee, expressed, "We sincerely offer our condolences to those affected by the wildfire and hope they overcome this crisis and quickly return to their daily lives."


Lee Byung-rae, Chairman of the Non-life Insurance Social Contribution Council, said, "We hope that the disaster victims affected by the sudden wildfire can promptly return to their normal lives, and we pray for the safety of everyone involved in the relief efforts on site."
