Mujugun to Hold 'Hope Music Talk Concert' on the 26th

Hope Music Talk Concert with Hwang Garam, Singer of "I Am Firefly,"
to Be Held at Muju Culture and Sports Center

Muju County, North Jeolla Province, announced on the 25th that it will hold the "Hope Music Talk Concert with Hwang Garam, the singer of 'I Am Firefly'," at 7 p.m. on the 26th at the multipurpose hall of the Muju Culture and Sports Center.

This event, hosted by Muju County and organized by the Muju Firefly Festival Committee (Chairman Park Chanju), was arranged to provide a healing time through music and to promote Muju, the hometown of fireflies.

Hosted by announcer Park Junghui, the concert will feature Hwang Garam's songs such as "I Am Firefly," "To You Far Away in My Memories," "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You," and "Missing You Madly," along with stories about his life and his connection to Muju. There will also be a Q&A session with local residents, raising expectations for the event.

Mr. Lee, a resident of Muju-eup, said, "Every time I hear the song of the firefly that flew from the universe to Muju, I feel comforted and proud to be a citizen of Muju. I am really looking forward to being able to listen to the stories and songs in person."

The county plans to present an honorary citizenship certificate to singer Hwang Garam on the day of the event, in appreciation of his efforts to promote Muju, the hometown of fireflies, and to raise interest in the Firefly Festival through his music.

The county awards honorary citizenship to foreigners, overseas Koreans, or individuals from other regions who have made significant contributions to the development of the county or the enhancement of its image. Currently, 67 people, including actor Kim Eungsoo, share the honor of being honorary citizens of Muju County.
