Kim Ki-moon: "Doing Our Best to Help Victims Return to Daily Life"
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) and the Small and Medium Business Love Sharing Foundation announced on the 25th that they will provide 500 million KRW in donations to help wildfire victims and local communities.
This donation was raised through contributions from small and medium business owners who participated collectively last year to support underprivileged groups. Bedding and daily necessities worth 200 million KRW will be delivered to evacuation shelters for victims in Sancheong, Gyeongnam, and Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, and later, household appliances, furniture, and clothing worth 300 million KRW will be provided in line with the victims' return.
Kim Ki-moon, chairman of Kbiz, said, "We extend our condolences to the victims who lost their families and homes due to the wildfire," adding, "We will do our best to support small business owners and SMEs affected by the disaster, including the victims, so they can quickly return to their daily lives."
