Daejeon City Strengthens 'Self-Employed Doctor Program'... Up to 3 Million Won in Business Improvement Support

Daejeon City announced that it has significantly strengthened the '2025 Self-Employed Doctor Program' this year, which supports business improvement for small business owners through customized management consulting.


The city has increased the management improvement support fund from 2.5 million KRW to up to 3 million KRW, and has greatly eased the self-pay ratio from 20% to 10%.


Support for business closure settlement has also been increased from 2 million KRW last year to up to 2.5 million KRW to provide more practical assistance.


Eligible applicants are small business owners who have been operating a business in Daejeon City for more than six months as of the announcement date, and prospective entrepreneurs residing in Daejeon City. Applications will be accepted until April 30, and final selections will be made through evaluation.


In addition, support for business closure settlement will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis to small business owners who have closed or plan to close their businesses after the announcement date, with applications accepted until October 31 or until the budget is exhausted.


Kwon Kyungmin, Director of Economic Affairs of Daejeon City, said, "The Self-Employed Doctor Program is a core project that provides small business owners with customized management diagnosis and solutions, laying the foundation for real recovery and a new leap forward. We will continue to actively promote detailed and effective policies so that small business owners can overcome management crises and grow stably."
