The global e-commerce market is growing, rapidly expanding the logistics automation industry. As global platforms such as Temu, Shein, and AliExpress establish domestic logistics networks and intensify the competition for fast delivery, investments in automation equipment are also increasing.
In response, smart robot technology company Hurim Robot (CEO Kim Bong-gwan) announced on the 25th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Chinese logistics automation company EHO Intelligence and secondary battery manufacturing equipment company EQCell. Through this, Hurim Robot will promote the construction of logistics automation systems with EHO Intelligence and expand the AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) market with EQCell.
EQCell plans to establish an AMR demo line by June and has built a cooperative system with Hurim Robot and China’s Omark. Omark is responsible for supplying AMR products and technical support, Hurim Robot develops customized products for the domestic market, and EQCell handles sales and demo line construction.
EHO Intelligence is a global company developing automated warehouse systems and pallet shuttles, operating in more than 20 countries. Hurim Robot and EHO Intelligence plan to collaborate to build high-density warehouses and automation systems that optimize logistics space and improve operational efficiency. This is expected to save 30-50% of space and improve operational efficiency by more than 40% compared to existing systems.
Hurim Robot pursues differentiated automation strategies depending on the partner. Collaboration with Omark focuses on internal factory logistics and production automation, while cooperation with EHO Intelligence concentrates on warehouse and logistics automation within the secondary battery manufacturing process. Additionally, Hurim Robot plans to expand its entry into the European and Chinese markets by leveraging EHO Intelligence’s global network.
Hurim Robot CEO Kim Bong-gwan stated, “Through this agreement, we will maximize the efficiency of logistics systems in secondary battery factories and increase our global market share.”
With this agreement, Hurim Robot is expected to strengthen its position in the logistics automation market and further expand its global competitiveness.
