Philippine Navy Commander to Attend Patrol Vessel Ceremonies in Ulsan
Admiral Yang Yong-mo, Chief of Naval Operations, met with the Commander of the Philippine Navy on the 25th to discuss defense industry and military cooperation.
The Navy announced that on the same day, Admiral Yang presided over a welcoming ceremony for Lieutenant General Jose Ma Ambrosio Quiatchon Ezpeleta, Commander of the Philippine Navy, at the Naval Submarine Command and held a bilateral meeting.

During the bilateral meeting, Admiral Yang and Commander Jose Ezpeleta discussed ways to strengthen military diplomacy and defense industry cooperation between the two navies, including high-level exchanges, personnel, and training exchanges.
The Republic of Korea Navy and the Philippine Navy have maintained a close cooperative relationship by operating the biennial "Navy-to-Navy Meeting" regular conference since 2020. The Navy explained that through Commander Jose Ezpeleta’s visit to Korea, the two navies have further solidified maritime security cooperation and defense industry collaboration.
After the bilateral meeting, Commander Jose Ezpeleta visited the Naval Logistics Command to participate in the "2nd Korea-Philippines Navy General Officer Logistics Cooperation Meeting," where they also discussed ways to strengthen logistics support between the two navies. He also toured the Remote Maintenance Support Center and maintenance factories to observe the advanced maintenance support system of the Korean military.
Meanwhile, Commander Jose Ezpeleta is scheduled to attend the commissioning ceremony of the 1st Philippine patrol vessel and the launching ceremony of the 2nd vessel, hosted by HD Hyundai and held in Ulsan on the 27th.
