Suwon Nambu Fire Station Conducts Emergency Response Drill for Wildfire at Chilbosan on the 24th

The Suwon Southern Fire Station in Gyeonggi recently conducted an emergency response drill related to the series of wildfires.


On the 24th, the Suwon Southern Fire Station announced that it carried out a drill to strengthen the integrated command system of the emergency rescue control team under the scenario of responding to a large-scale wildfire at Yonghwasa Temple on Chilbosan Mountain in Suwon.

The drill proceeded in the following order: ▲assigning the training scenario and disseminating the situation ▲arrival of the first response team for on-site command ▲operation of a temporary emergency medical center ▲activation of the emergency rescue command support team ▲assembly and operation of the emergency rescue command support team.


Go Young-ju, head of the Suwon Southern Fire Station, said, "Spring has a high risk of fire occurrence due to seasonal factors such as large temperature differences, low humidity, and strong winds." He added, "Therefore, please adhere to the four wildfire prevention rules for spring: prohibition of illegal burning, punishment for wildfires caused by cooking or camping fires, prohibition of carrying fire or smoking during hiking, and prohibition of entry into closed hiking trails."
