This year's event, themed "The Most Beautiful and Brilliant Moment," will offer a variety of attractions amidst the breathtaking scenery of blooming yellow canola flowers.

The festivities will kick off with a grand flag parade led by a traditional marching band on the first day, followed by a springtime message of hope balloon release performance, a canola flower music festival, a canola flower photo contest, and various other cultural events.

The grand flag parade will bring together agricultural organizations, local self-help groups, residents, and visitors to create a scene of unity and harmony.

Additionally, hands-on experiences using canola flowers and booths promoting and selling local agricultural products will be operated, providing visitors with a wealth of enjoyable activities.

In particular, the agricultural product promotion and sales booths will feature unique market-style setups for local merchants and seniors, which are expected to help revitalize the local economy.

Furthermore, the festival will be enhanced by the promotion of unique foods and products made from scenic crops and, for the first time in Pohang, the introduction of reusable containers to make it an eco-friendly event.

Handcrafted beer made from Homigot barley will also be showcased, and an innovative event where robots serve beer is planned, offering visitors a unique experience that combines cutting-edge technology with traditional agricultural products.

The canola flowers are expected to be in full bloom and create a spectacular view from early April, when the opening ceremony is held, and visitors will be able to enjoy the blossoms until mid-April.

Mayor Lee Kangdeok said, "I hope the Homigot Peninsula Canola Flower Opening Ceremony will become a new cultural event that goes beyond a simple flower festival and incorporates local coexistence and eco-friendly elements," adding, "I invite many citizens and tourists to come and fully enjoy the spring atmosphere at Homigot, filled with canola flowers."

Every spring, the Homigot Peninsula Scenic Agriculture Complex boasts beautiful scenery with its canola flowers in full bloom.

Since its inception in 2018, the complex has offered more than 330,000 square meters of canola flowers, colored barley, buckwheat flowers, sunflowers, and other attractions each year, and there are plans to expand the area to 100 hectares (about 990,000 square meters) in the future.
