Naju City in Jeollanam-do will hold a public briefing session to improve citizens' transportation welfare and enhance public transportation operations.
Naju City announced on the 24th that it will host a public briefing session on the efficiency of public transportation operations at the Yeonggang-dong Eoullim Center from 3 p.m. on the 25th.
The session will address key issues such as measures to improve public transportation operations, solutions to current issues regarding subsidies provided to transportation operators, and resolving related suspicions.
In particular, the city aims to clarify the facts regarding the operating deficits of city bus operators to dispel suspicions raised by some media outlets and civic groups.
Additionally, the results of a research study on city bus operation efficiency, which has been promoted since last year, and directions for metropolitan bus support will be shared with citizens, and their opinions will be gathered through a Q&A session.
Yoon Byungtae, Mayor of Naju, said, "Through this public briefing session, we will resolve the ongoing suspicions regarding public transportation subsidies and provide improved transportation welfare and stable public transportation services for our citizens through efficient operational improvements."
