"Impeachment Dismissal Is a Betrayal of History"
"Reinstating Yoon Is an Act of Self-Destruction by the Constitutional Court"
Lee Eon-ju, a Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea, proposed on the 24th that "all ruling and opposition lawmakers resign en masse and hold a general election again."
At the Supreme Council meeting held in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, Lee said, "If the country continues in an unconstitutional situation where it cannot even suppress such acts of rebellion and drags it out while giving a pardon, what meaning is there in wearing a badge in such a country?"
Regarding the possibility of President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment being dismissed, he claimed, "It is a betrayal of the public sentiment of the vast majority of sensible citizens and the history of the Republic of Korea that we have built over time."

He added, "If we do not promptly dismiss Yoon Seok-yeol and establish new leadership to revive the political and economic vitality of the Republic of Korea, we will fall into a serious situation where we cannot even guess where we are headed," emphasizing, "(The presidential impeachment) cannot be subject to pros and cons."
Lee warned, "If some members of the Constitutional Court are swayed by the views of those who want to reinstate the president or indefinitely delay the process, thereby increasing political uncertainty and ruining the country, the Constitutional Court itself, the last bastion of constitutional protection, will have committed an act of self-destruction that destroys the constitutional order."
He also said, "If the Constitutional Court continues to delay and some among them hold different opinions, we have no choice but to ask the people directly for their final will. If necessary, all ruling and opposition lawmakers should resign en masse and hold a general election again."
Lee stated, "This is not a matter of conservatism or progressivism, nor is it an issue of faction or region. If the head of the executive branch destroys the constitutional order as it is now, and even the judiciary, which should check him, is passive in protecting the constitution, and the National Assembly's ruling party betrays the constitution, what other options are there?"
