Jung Jang-seon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi Province, received the "Right Politics, Choice of Skilled Economic People" award in the basic local government category at the '1st Skilled Persons' Day' ceremony held at the Seoul Air Force Hotel on the 21st.

This award is given by the Federation of Skilled Economic Organizations to elected public officials who have contributed to practicing right politics, protecting the rights and interests of skilled persons, and revitalizing the economy, in celebration of the newly designated 'Skilled Persons' Day' this year.
Mayor Jung received the award for his continuous efforts to revitalize Pyeongtaek's economy and for policies with practical effects that have contributed to improving the quality of life for citizens and local skilled persons.
Since the launch of the 8th term of the civilian government, Mayor Jung has proactively implemented economic policies such as modernizing traditional markets to support small business owners, revitalizing alleyway commercial districts, expanding special guarantees for small business owners, and promoting local currency.
Mayor Jung said, "I will continue to listen more closely to voices from the field and create policies that directly resonate with citizens and economic actors."
