KOTRA Operates Korean Pavilion at Italy Beauty Expo to Support Expansion of K-Beauty Exports

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 24th that companies participating in the integrated Korea Pavilion at the '2025 Cosmoprof Beauty Exhibition' held in Bologna, Italy from the 20th to the 22nd conducted consultations worth approximately $6.77 million (100 billion KRW).


Celebrating its 56th edition this year, the Bologna Cosmoprof Beauty Exhibition is regarded as the oldest and most prestigious beauty exhibition in the world.


KOTRA, participating in this exhibition for the 20th consecutive year, organized an integrated Korea Pavilion with 7 organizations and 242 companies, showcasing K-beauty products and services such as cosmetics, hair, nails, and body care to the European market.


The integrated Korea Pavilion included the International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA), Bucheon Industrial Promotion Agency, Chungcheongbuk-do Business Promotion Agency, Gyeongbuk IT Convergence Industry Technology Institute, Korea Beauty Industry Trade Association, and Korea International Trade Association.

During the event, Company B signed an OEM supply contract worth approximately $8 million (11.7 billion KRW) over at least 5 years, with quarterly orders of $400,000 (590 million KRW), after long consultations with the famous US brand Company P.


Company H, which exhibited mask packs, signed a contract worth $80,000 (120 million KRW) with Company M in Verona, Italy, and also held consultations worth $29,000 (40 million KRW) with Russian buyers.


Among the products exhibited at the Korea Pavilion, three were named among the 11 products awarded the 'Cosmoprof Awards' by the organizers.


A KOTRA official stated, "At this exhibition, we invited 344 global buyers, including 109 Italian buyers, and provided focused on-site consultation support. We will continue to actively support overseas market entry for various industries such as K-beauty by utilizing our global trade center network."
