Isuhee, Gangdong-gu Mayor, Conducts On-site Inspection Ahead of Amsa Chorokgil Opening Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, and district office officials are inspecting the entrance road to Amsa Chorok-gil. Provided by Gangdong-gu.

Amsa Chorok-gil is a covered pedestrian path connecting Hangang Park and the Amsa-dong Historic Site, which are separated by Olympic-daero. The access road (5m wide, 272m long) was completed by Gangdong-gu at the end of last December, and the upper park section connecting to the Hangang Park walking trail is currently being developed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Future Hangang Headquarters.

Once Amsa Chorok-gil opens, it will provide convenient access to Hangang Park by bicycle or on foot, allowing local residents and visitors to enjoy walking in the park above Olympic-daero. In particular, the upper park, which spans 50m in width and 6,300㎡ of green space, is expected to become a new attraction where visitors can enjoy the golden-hued sunset along the Hangang River in Gangdong-gu.

Mayor Lee Soo-hee, who inspected the site, instructed the relevant departments to ensure perfection by installing new signboards near Amsa Chorok-gil and conducting extensive environmental maintenance. The mayor stated, “We will discover and promote various contents that can be enjoyed not only by local residents but also by visitors to Amsa-dong.”
