One-Stop Care, Nursing, and Housing Services... Seodaemun-gu Launches Pilot Operation of Integrated Care Support Center

Final Selection in City-Led ‘Integrated Care Support Center Pilot Operation’ Contest

Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 24th that it has been finally selected in the ‘2025 Integrated Care Support Center Pilot Operation’ contest hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, enabling it to introduce the ‘Seodaemun-gu Type Integrated Care Model’ that provides residents with one-stop services including healthcare, health, nursing, care, and housing.

The district will establish a foundation so that the individual or their family can apply just once at their local community service center, and a ‘1:1 customized care plan for each target’ will be independently developed to support all care services.

First, this year, the ‘District Office Integrated Care Support Center’ will take the lead to pilot and operate ‘Integrated Care Consultation Desks’ at five community service centers within the district, and then expand this to all 14 community service centers by March next year, when the ‘Act on Integrated Support for Regional Care including Medical and Nursing Care’ is enforced.

The Seodaemun-gu Integrated Care Support Center will comprehensively manage care services that were previously provided in a fragmented manner by assessing residents’ situations holistically. Until now, residents with complex issues had to apply for each service separately, but going forward, the ‘Integrated Care Consultation Desk’ staff at the community service centers will conduct in-depth consultations with the target individuals, establish integrated care plans, and build a care network with relevant district office departments, private welfare organizations, and medical institutions for prompt response.

Through this project, the district will provide services in five areas: healthcare (home medical care center, primary care, integrated linkage of home visits), health (physical care, mental care), nursing (support for long-term care recipients and others in need of care), care (emergency care, daily care), and housing (environment, housing vulnerable groups).

Additionally, systematic follow-up management will be conducted to help integrated care recipients maintain a healthy and dignified life. Mayor Lee Seongheon stated, “We will do our best to establish a flawless local care system as a reliable care partner for residents.”
