Good Neighbors, a child rights-focused non-governmental organization (NGO), announced on the 24th that it will launch the domestic crisis family support campaign "Dangsin Iutda" to celebrate its 34th anniversary.
"Dangsin Iutda" conveys a message of creating warm change together with good neighbors who stay by the side of children in need through three keywords (You Exist, You Connect, Children Smile). It means that there are sponsors who help marginalized children (You Exist), sponsors and children are connected to become good neighbors to each other (You Connect), and sharing gifts hope to children (Children Smile).
Good Neighbors released the "Dangsin Iutda" campaign video on its official YouTube channel and website. The video introduces stories of ▲ children at risk of missing meals who have to eat alone ▲ family care children who take care of sick family members ▲ young adults preparing for independence who have left protective facilities and started standing on their own.
By participating in the campaign, urgent support such as living expenses, medical care, education, and housing costs can be provided to domestic crisis families in need, helping their healthy growth and stable independence. Last year, Good Neighbors supported about 230,000 domestic crisis family children and young adults preparing for independence through projects such as weekend non-face-to-face meal provision, housing environment improvement, and employment linkage services.
Kim Jung-gon, Secretary General of Good Neighbors, said, "All those who have joined us in creating positive change for the world with Good Neighbors are truly good neighbors," and added, "We will continue to expand professional projects for children in need both domestically and internationally."
