Comprehensive Support for Content Startups
Recruitment for the 'Content Startup Support Project' Open Until July 9

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency are recruiting startups and prospective entrepreneurs to participate in the 'Content Startup Support Project' until the 9th of next month. Together with fourteen private organizations selected through a public contest last month, they will provide comprehensive support from recruitment to nurturing. Last year, the Korea Creative Content Agency restructured the support project to be led by private specialized organizations such as incubation centers, accelerators, and leading companies.

The recruitment scale covers four areas: ▲ prospective entrepreneurs supported for idea commercialization ▲ startups supported through accelerators ▲ startups supported for co-growth linked with leading companies (Content Open Innovation) ▲ startups in the investment-linked startup leap program. The idea commercialization support project helps innovative ideas lead to startups. Forty prospective entrepreneurs (teams) selected from four incubation centers will receive startup support vouchers worth approximately 5 million KRW, along with support for prototype development, commercialization, and investment attraction.

The accelerator-linked support project discovers and nurtures content companies within seven years of establishment in connection with accelerators. The Korea Creative Content Agency will provide up to 90 million KRW in commercialization funds to eighteen selected startups. Accelerators will also directly invest over 300 million KRW and offer tailored capacity-building programs such as dedicated mentoring and consulting.

The co-growth support linked with leading companies supports new business discovery through business cooperation between leading companies and startups. Ten innovative startups within seven years, selected from seven leading institutions, will collaborate on four themes: intellectual property (IP) economy, fandom business, artificial intelligence (AI), and platforms. They will receive up to 75 million KRW in commercialization support funds and access to various infrastructures of the leading companies.

The investment-linked startup leap program promotes investment expansion for content startups. It recruits fourteen innovative startups that have secured single investments of 400 million KRW or more from private investment institutions since January last year. In addition to up to 200 million KRW in commercialization funds, customized programs such as professional consulting and mentoring, investor relations (IR) presentations, business matching, and promotion are provided.

On the 27th at 2 p.m., the Korea Creative Content Agency will hold an information session at the Gwanghwamun CKL Enterprise Support Center to guide the direction and detailed support contents of each support project. A consultation desk with private organizations participating in the project will also be operated.
