"Sued for Disrupting Press Conference with Verbal Abuse in Front of Constitutional Court... Must Be Arrested"
Seo Young-kyo, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, announced on the 23rd that she has filed a complaint with the police against a person who verbally abused her during a press conference calling for the dismissal of President Yoon Seok-yeol held recently in front of the Constitutional Court.
At a National Assembly press conference that day, Rep. Seo said, "On the 21st, during a press conference held in front of the Constitutional Court hosted by the party's Women's Committee, I filed a complaint with the Jongno Police Station against the person who disrupted the press conference with harsh verbal abuse on charges including violation of the Assembly and Demonstration Act, insult, defamation, assault, threat, obstruction of business, and obstruction of official duties," adding, "The police must immediately arrest that person as a flagrant offender."
Rep. Seo also stated, "Rep. Baek Hye-ryun was hit in the face with a raw egg, and Rep. Lee Jae-jung was struck on the thigh, among other horrific acts of terror continuing in front of the Constitutional Court," urging that the Constitutional Court must promptly dismiss Yoon Seok-yeol.
