According to the completed car industry on the 23rd, the EV3 sold a total of 2,686 units from January to February, recording the highest sales volume in the domestic electric vehicle market. It was followed by Tesla's 'Model Y' (2,040 units), Hyundai's 'Ioniq 5' (1,538 units), Hyundai's 'Casper EV' (1,247 units), and Kia's 'EV6' (1,172 units).

Since its launch in July last year, the EV3 has sold a cumulative total of 15,537 units domestically as of last month. Among these, the Long Range model accounted for more than 80% of total sales. In January and February as well, the 'Long Range Earth' trim sold over 1,000 units, making up 40% of total sales.

By age group, buyers in their 40s accounted for the largest share at 30%, followed by those in their 30s (24%), 50s (19%), 20s (16%), and 60s and above (10%). Notably, the purchase share of those in their 20s and 30s, who previously had weaker purchasing power in the electric vehicle market, was high. A Kia official explained, "The 2030 purchase share of the EV3 reached 40%, which is evidence that the EV3 offers reasonable pricing and practicality."

The EV3 can be purchased in the 30 million KRW range when tax benefits and subsidies are applied. It is also equipped with various features and technologies compared to its class, such as i-Pedal 3.0, Smart Regeneration System 3.0, and next-generation thermal management system.
