for Local Residents
Gyeongnam Nonghyup urgently visited the sites of large-scale wildfires in Sancheong, Hadong, and Gimhae on the 22nd and 23rd to inspect the damage and offer consolation and encouragement to affected farmers.
In preparation for the spread of wildfires and potential damage to farmers, Gyeongnam Nonghyup has operated an emergency duty system at its regional headquarters and branch offices since the 21st. They delivered around 500 boxes of emergency relief supplies, consisting of food and daily necessities, to the evacuated residents in Sancheong-gun, Hadong-gun, and Gimhae-si.
In addition, Gyeongnam Nonghyup plans to continuously monitor the wildfire damage situation in cooperation with its branch offices and related organizations, and to thoroughly support disaster recovery by preparing various support measures such as loss insurance investigations for affected farms.
Ryu Gilnyeon, head of the headquarters, who visited the wildfire-affected sites, said, "We will continue to operate the emergency response situation room to closely monitor agricultural damages and mobilize all available resources to minimize damage to farmers and provide the best possible support."
