○... On the 22nd, around 2,000 people gathered at Jungang Park in Damyang-eup, Damyang-gun, South Jeolla Province, for a major campaign rally for Lee Jaejong, the Democratic Party's candidate for Damyang County Governor, reflecting the high level of interest among local residents in the election.
At the rally, party leaders and lawmakers, including Leader Lee Jaemyung, Chief Supreme Council Member Kim Minseok, Park Jiwon, Kim Byungjoo, Yang Bunam, Joo Cheolhyeon, Seo Samsuk, Shin Jeonghoon, Jung Jinwook, and Lee Gaeho, were all in attendance.
○... The intersection near Jungang Park was so crowded with voters eager to listen to the rally that there was barely any room to move.
Residents commented, "The Democratic Party must unite around Leader Lee Jaemyung. To end the rebellion crisis as soon as possible, the Democratic Party candidate must be elected," and added, "It is common knowledge that for the development of Damyang, the Democratic Party candidate is the right choice over any other party's candidate."
○... At the pavilion 'Bulhwonjeong' installed in Jungang Park, about ten residents sat and attentively listened to the speeches, while small groups took photos together and repeatedly chanted 'Lee Jaejong'.
One resident at the rally said, "The grassroots sentiment and the overall trend favor the Democratic Party," and added, "Considering the possibility of an early presidential election, having the Democratic Party candidate win would also be good for the region."

One voter stood out by weaving through the rally holding a sign reading 'Impeach traitor Yoon Sukyeol.'
○... A female voter carried a sign saying 'Even Myung Taegyun, the Democratic Party pollster, would cry,' pointing out the unfairness in the candidate nomination process.
This woman was also seen protesting to lawmaker Lee Gaeho on the street, saying, "Because of the Democratic Party's wrongdoing, a re-election for Damyang County Governor is being held. Isn't it wrong for the Democratic Party to even field a candidate?"
○... After the rally ended, the lawmakers who had stood on stage came down to the street to meet residents directly, shaking hands and bowing their heads as they appealed for support for the Democratic Party candidate.
Some lawmakers also took commemorative photos with voters, giving thumbs-up gestures and showing efforts to connect with the residents.
