Vivian Jenna Wilson's Media Interview
"Musk, a Cartoonishly Evil Member of the White House"
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, was publicly criticized by his transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson. She described Musk's controversial gesture at a rally last January as a "clear Nazi salute."
On the 22nd, the British newspaper The Guardian reported that Vivian Jenna Wilson recently told the media in an interview, "The Nazi salute is madness," adding, "Let's call a fig a fig and a Nazi salute a Nazi salute. (What Musk did) was clearly a Nazi salute." She also strongly criticized Musk, saying, "The things Musk has done in the federal government are 'damn wrong,'" and called him "a cartoonishly evil member of the White House."
Last January, at an inauguration celebration rally for Donald Trump's second term administration, Musk made a gesture to Trump supporters by placing his right hand over his left chest, then clasping his hands and raising his arm diagonally to the right. He then turned around and repeated the gesture to supporters behind him. He followed by saying, "My heart goes out to you." When controversy arose over the gesture being a Nazi-style salute, Musk responded, "If you're going to try to smear me, you need to do better. Attacks like 'everyone is Hitler' are too clich?d."
Wilson is one of five children Musk had with writer Justine Wilson, whom he married in 2000 and divorced eight years later. She had conflicts with Musk during her gender transition. In a July interview last year, Musk expressed anger, saying, "I do not support my daughter's gender identity," and claimed that his daughter was "killed" by 'woke' ideology.
Wilson changed her surname and adopted her current name due to the estrangement from Musk. Vivian, who publicly revealed her gender transition in 2020, has cut off contact with Musk and is reportedly not in touch with her other siblings either. She stated, "I don't even know how many siblings I have, nor do I care."
In an interview with NBC last year, Wilson said, "Musk was almost absent from my life, and I endured continuous bullying over my gender identity when I was young." On the 21st, she also criticized Musk on her personal social media account, calling him "a pathetic adult child" and questioning, "Should I be afraid of him just because he's rich?"
