"Realizing Universal Educational Welfare"
Damyang County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that it will provide entrance congratulatory funds for elementary school students to strengthen the public nature of education and realize universal educational welfare.
The congratulatory funds will be provided during the application period from the 24th until November 29th, with a concentrated application period running until June 27th.
The support is available to students entering elementary schools in the county this year. Guardians who are Damyang residents can visit the administrative office of the student's registered address to submit an application. Once eligibility is verified, they will receive a 100,000 KRW entrance congratulatory fund in local currency.
An official from the county stated, "We hope the entrance congratulatory fund will help reduce the educational expenses burden on families," and added, "We will continue to actively discover and expand educational policies unique to Damyang for nurturing local talent."
