Awards to Be Presented at the Buan Masil Festival
Buan County in North Jeolla Province will conduct a public verification process for residents from the 24th to the 28th to ensure objectivity and fairness before selecting this year's Buan County Citizen Award recipients.
According to the county on the 21st, the Buan County Citizen Award is presented to individuals who have taken the lead in the development of the local community, enhanced the honor of the residents, and made significant contributions to the progress of Buan County.
From the 24th of last month to the 14th of this month, the county accepted nominations for the Buan County Citizen Award in four categories (industry, public service, culture, and hometown affection), with a total of seven candidates.
For the public verification, the main achievements of the candidates will be disclosed in the notices section of the county office website to collect various opinions from residents. For more details, inquiries can be made through the county office website or the Autonomous Administration Office.
The final recipients of the Buan County Citizen Award will be decided by the Buan County Citizen Award Review Committee after on-site investigations and public verification. The award ceremony will be held on the opening day of the 12th Buan Masil Festival.
A county official stated, "The Buan County Citizen Award is an honorable award that serves as a model for all residents, and we plan to conduct a strict review to ensure a worthy recipient is selected." He added, "Even if there are nominees, if no one is deemed suitable, we plan not to select a recipient."
