Ranked 16th in Korea, Within the Top 500 Globally
Soonchunhyang University announced on the 21st that it ranked first among private universities in the Chungcheong region in the field of Medicine in the '2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject' released by the British university evaluation agency QS.
In this evaluation, Soonchunhyang University's Medicine program entered the rankings for the first time, placing 16th in Korea and in the 501-550 range globally.
Soonchunhyang University, which has positioned itself as a specialized university for medical convergence, has recently established advanced departments such as the School of Biomedical Convergence, published 380.5 SCI-level papers, and secured 55.8 billion KRW in research funding as of 2023, thereby enhancing its research competitiveness.
In particular, the university is showing strength in the medi-bio field based on its four affiliated hospitals nationwide and the Soonchunhyang Institute of Medi-bio Science (SIMS).
President Song Byungguk said, "We will strengthen our convergence-oriented research system and leap forward as a prestigious global university."
