Lee Jeongwoo Wins First Place in Overall Breaking at the 24th Minister of Gender Equality and Family Cup
Kim Donghyuk Selected for Kukkiwon Demonstration Team
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on the 21st that its Taekwondo demonstration team athletes have achieved outstanding results, including winning first place in a national competition and being selected for the Kukkiwon demonstration team.
At the recently held '24th Minister of Gender Equality and Family National Taekwondo Competition' at Samcheok Civic Gymnasium in Gangwon-do, Lee Jeongwoo (3rd year, Department of Taekwondo) from the Dong-A University Taekwondo demonstration team won first place in the overall breaking category.

In the aerial jump category, Kim Minjeong (1st year, Department of Taekwondo) and Cho Gyuhui (3rd year, Department of Taekwondo) each secured third place in the University Division 1 and University Division 2, respectively, and Dong-A University also placed third in the general team competition.
Lee Jeongwoo said, "I am happy to have won first place at the first breaking competition of 2025," and added, "I will train even harder to continue achieving good results throughout the year."

Founded in 1974, the Kukkiwon Taekwondo demonstration team tours about 150 countries, leading the globalization of Taekwondo, and selects final members through document screening, basic physical fitness and Taekwondo skills tests, and interviews among nationwide applicants.
Kim Donghyuk said, "It is an honor to be selected for the Kukkiwon demonstration team, which I have always dreamed of. I am grateful to Professor Lee Sangho and Professor Lee Yongguk for their great support for the demonstration team, and to Director Jeon Gwanghyeok and Coach Lee Hakmyeong, who kept me mentally strong even when things were tough and I wanted to give up," adding, "I also thank my juniors and seniors from the Dong-A University Taekwondo demonstration team who gave me a lot of help."
