Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that it held a meeting on the 19th with businesses registered on the county's online shopping mall, 'Gokseong Mall.' More than 80 participants attended the meeting, including local farms, processing companies, agricultural corporations, farming cooperatives, and agricultural and livestock cooperatives registered on Gokseong Mall.
Notably, ChildFund Korea (Green Umbrella Children's Foundation) attended and held a 'Plaque of Appreciation Ceremony for Participating Sponsors' for ten businesses that donate more than 30,000 KRW per month among the registered companies. The plaque signifies that these businesses are actively participating in sharing activities for local children and encourages consumers to make ethical purchases.
The meeting also included a review of last year's operational achievements and provided guidance on this year's direction for Gokseong Mall. Gokseong Mall has surpassed cumulative sales of 1.47 billion KRW and continues to grow steadily. This year, the county plans to promote Gokseong's excellent local agricultural products and boost sales through a variety of special exhibitions and promotions.
County Governor Jo Sangrae said, "I deeply appreciate the representatives who have joined in this meaningful act of sharing. We will continue to do our best to strengthen our operations through ongoing communication with registered businesses and to grow into a leading regional shopping mall representing Korea."
