Jindo-gun has set a rapid execution target for the first half of the year at 202.8 billion KRW, which is 67.9% of the total management amount of 298.7 billion KRW, surpassing the target of 58.5% set for cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.
The county has established a detailed plan to execute 80% of advance payments and advance notices simultaneously with the ordering of various construction and service projects, aiming to meet the target amount. To this end, a Rapid Execution Task Force led by the Deputy Governor has been formed and is being operated, and the county plans to do its utmost to improve execution performance by encouraging execution through stage-by-stage inspections and briefings, as well as identifying potential issues in advance.
Following the rapid execution briefing, the county also discussed response measures to improve the execution rate for the 99.6 billion KRW in carried-over project funds from last year. In addition, at a briefing session in December 2023 regarding proposals for national funding for 2026, the county identified 29 projects with a total project cost of 5.4574 trillion KRW across 10 ministries, including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Jindo-gun continues to actively visit Jeollanam-do and central government ministries to secure national funding for local issues.
Deputy Governor Kim Sunju emphasized, "We will do our utmost to ensure prompt fiscal execution in line with the government's policy of rapid local fiscal execution, in order to stabilize livelihoods and invigorate the local economy."
Meanwhile, Jindo-gun received the 'Excellence Award' in the evaluation of fiscal execution performance for the second half of 2024, earning a prize fund of 30 million KRW.
