Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 21st that it held a meeting in the mayor's office on the 20th to discuss social welfare policies and explore cooperation plans in celebration of the launch of the 8th Uijeongbu City Social Welfare Council (Chairperson Yoon Yeon-hee) executive board.

This meeting was organized to strengthen the role of the council in the development of community welfare and to further solidify the cooperation system between the city and the council. City officials and the newly launched executive board exchanged opinions on local welfare issues and improvement directions.
Specifically, they discussed various topics including ▲ remodeling of the 2nd floor of the Uijeongbu City Social Welfare Center ▲ activation of the ‘Everyone's Welfare Consult’ for social welfare policy research ▲ expansion plans for the utilization of space at the Uijeongbu City Social Welfare Center.
In particular, the city plans to continuously promote ‘Modu-ui Dolbom’ (Everyone's Care), a welfare brand unique to Uijeongbu City, through ongoing communication with the Social Welfare Council, and to continuously implement distinctive welfare projects that reflect diverse welfare needs within the region.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “The Social Welfare Council is an important institution that plays a central role in the community welfare network,” and added, “We will continue to develop welfare policies that provide practical help to citizens through close cooperation and support with the council.”
