Seo Hyun-joo, the executive producer at Starship Entertainment, has been recognized by Billboard in the United States as one of the 'Women of Influence in Music.'

According to Billboard’s announcement on the 20th (local time) for 'Billboard’s Women in Music 2025,' Seo was named in the 'Labels & Distributors' category as a female K-pop producer.

'Billboard Women in Music' is a list that selects the top female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have had a significant impact on the music industry over the past year. This year's event will be held on the 29th (local time) at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, USA.

Seo served as an A&R producer at SM Entertainment and as a director at Big Hit Entertainment before founding Starship in 2008. Currently, she is the vice president and executive producer at Starship, responsible for artist planning, music production, and global strategy. She has planned artists such as IVE, K.Will, SISTAR, Monsta X, and WJSN.

She notably played a major role in helping the group Monsta X expand overseas. Monsta X’s first U.S. full-length album released in 2020, 'ALL ABOUT LUV,' entered the Billboard 200, the main U.S. album chart, at number 5, and their English album 'THE DREAMING' also charted on the Billboard 200 for two consecutive weeks. Monsta X was the first K-pop group to participate in the U.S. radio station iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball tour.
