Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon continued his two-day visit to address public concerns by visiting small business owners in Suwon City on the 20th and then the Anyang Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market on the 21st, listening to merchants' difficulties and promising ongoing support for small business owners.
On the morning of the visit to the Anyang Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market, Governor Kim said, "I heard that the biggest difficulty for merchants is the need for cold storage facilities, and we will take measures to provide cold storage support with provincial funds within the first half of the year." He added, "We will strive to reduce the inconvenience for the many customers who use this market to enable sustainable development."
Earlier, on the 20th, Governor Kim made a surprise visit to small business owners in Suwon City, who are struggling due to the economic downturn in Gyeonggi Province, listened to their hardships, and promised attention and support measures for small business owners and self-employed individuals.

Meanwhile, at the location of Governor Kim's visit that day, NH Nonghyup Bank held a donation ceremony, donating vegetables and fruits worth approximately 500 million won and 150 tons purchased from merchants to the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest. The donated goods were designated and entrusted to the Gyeonggi Metropolitan Food Bank and will be delivered to 15,000 vulnerable households within the province.
At the donation ceremony, Governor Kim said, "I am pleased that many people have come together to make this valuable event possible," adding, "Thanks to Nonghyup's generous donation, purchasing goods from the Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market allows the Gyeonggi Province city and county food banks to help neighbors in need, making this a win-win-win situation."
The Gyeonggi Province Food Bank is a program that provides donated food and daily necessities free of charge to low-income residents in the province. In 2024 alone, it delivered donated goods worth 70.8 billion won, achieving the top nationwide performance for five consecutive years.
Residents wishing to use the Food Bank can apply at their local administrative welfare center.
