Sungsan-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, has launched intensive hygiene inspections targeting food service establishments in popular spring flower viewing spots and areas with high pedestrian traffic, in order to prevent food poisoning and strengthen food safety management during the spring outing season.

The main inspection items include: ▲whether expired food is being sold, used, or stored; ▲compliance with facility standards such as sanitary management of kitchens and installation of insect-proof equipment; ▲compliance with storage temperature for ingredients and whether food is being reused; ▲whether water quality tests are conducted when using groundwater; ▲whether employees have undergone health check-ups and adhere to personal hygiene practices such as wearing sanitary hats and masks; and other matters related to the prevention and management of food poisoning.
Kim Su-yoon, Head of the Culture and Sanitation Division, stated, "To prepare for the spring outing season, when outdoor activities increase, we will thoroughly inspect the hygiene management of restaurants in multi-use facilities and areas with high pedestrian traffic in advance. We will also provide food poisoning prevention education for business owners and employees, and do our utmost to create a safe dining environment without any food safety blind spots."
