Creative Convergence Digital Program
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam announced that the Mulgeum Youth Culture Center has been selected for the '2025 Excellent Youth Activity Program Support Project' organized by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency, and will operate a program to strengthen digital competencies for youth.
The 'Excellent Youth Activity Program Support Project' is designed to discover and support outstanding programs that align with social changes for the development of youth capabilities. This selection marks the first achievement for a youth facility in Yangsan City and is expected to serve as a new turning point for youth activities in the region.
The program selected, 'Mulgeum Youth Future Workshop: DaIt(it)Day,' offers diverse digital literacy experiences by engaging youth in digital creation activities that combine their imagination with the demands of the digital transformation era.
The program will be held a total of 12 times from July to October 2025 in the webtoon and seminar rooms of the Mulgeum Youth Culture Center. The main program contents include: △Physical computing using Arduino △3D printing production △Digital literacy education △Presentation of results, and more.
With this project selection, the Mulgeum Youth Culture Center has secured 10 million KRW in national funding and plans to operate a more professional and systematic program. In addition, it will cooperate with related youth organizations in the region to expand recruitment of participants and broadly provide opportunities for digital education in the era of artificial intelligence.
Hong Youngsik, director of the Mulgeum Youth Culture Center, stated, "As we move from the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the digital transformation era into the age of artificial intelligence, it is important to support youth in developing creative thinking and problem-solving skills," and added, "Through this project, we will actively support youth in acquiring the competencies necessary for the future society."
The Mulgeum Youth Culture Center, which is operated by the Hangaram Cultural Foundation, is a youth training facility established under Article 18 of the Framework Act on Juveniles and Article 11 of the Youth Activity Promotion Act. It supports a variety of training, exchange, and cultural activities to promote balanced growth and development for youth.
