'Samhwa Paint 3rd Generation' Vice President Kim Hyun-jung Joins Board of Directors

Management Succession Begins

Kim Hyun-jung, the eldest daughter of Samhwa Paint Chairman Kim Jang-yeon, has joined the board of directors.

Samhwa Paint held its regular shareholders' meeting on the 20th and appointed Vice President Kim as a new inside director. With Kim's addition, the board of directors was reorganized from five to six members.

This board appointment is seen as an expansion of Vice President Kim's influence within the company and marks the beginning of a formal management succession.

Born in 1985, Vice President Kim is the eldest daughter of Chairman Kim Jang-yeon, son of the late founder Kim Bok-gyu, making her the third generation of the Samhwa Paint owning family.

Vice President Kim is an accounting and legal expert, holding certifications as a Korean Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and lawyer. She joined Samhwa Paint in 2019, was promoted to executive director in 2022, and this year advanced to the position of vice president.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Samhwa Paint reappointed Chairman Kim, President Ryu Ki-bung, and President Bae Maeng-dal as inside directors. Outside director Shim Dal-hoon, CEO of Woorin Tax Partners, was also reappointed.
