Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office Provides Job Search Support and Remote Counseling for Discharged Soldiers in Jeonnam Region

The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office Discharged Soldiers Support Center conducted a remote outreach counseling session on the 20th to support job seeking for discharged soldiers residing in the jurisdiction of Jeonnam Seobu. Provided by Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office

The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office Veterans Support Center recently announced on the 21st that it had conducted mobile outreach counseling sessions to support job-seeking for veterans residing in the western Jeonnam jurisdiction.

The outreach counseling, held on the 2nd floor of Ilgang Kim Cheol Hall at the Western Jeonnam Veterans Affairs Office on the 20th, was organized to support the stable reintegration of veterans into society. Those scheduled for discharge received guidance on pre-separation preparations and certifications before completing their military service, and were encouraged to enhance their job competencies through support systems such as vocational competency development training and commissioned education at specialized institutions.

Additionally, through individual counseling, veterans were provided with tailored consulting based on their career backgrounds and desired career paths. Corporate marketing was also conducted in the western Jeonnam region to connect veterans with local companies and facilitate actual employment opportunities.

A representative from the Gwangju Veterans Support Center said, "We will do our best to ensure that more veterans receive practical assistance through these outreach counseling sessions, and we plan to expand various support programs to help veterans successfully settle into society."

The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office Veterans Support Center provides employment and entrepreneurship support services to help mid- and long-term veterans who have faithfully served in national defense for more than five years smoothly reintegrate into society after discharge.
