The Hyundai Department Store Talent Development Center near Amsa Station in Seoul will be expanded.
On the 21st, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it held the 1st Urban and Architectural Joint Committee Delegated Subcommittee and approved the modification of the 'Amsa District Unit Plan Decision (Change) (Draft)'.
The target site is located at 513-16 Amsa-dong, Gangdong-gu, where the Hyundai Department Store Talent Development Center is situated, along with seven other parcels, adjacent to Amsa Station on Subway Line 8. This project was promoted following a resident proposal from the Hyundai Department Store Talent Development Center to address the aging of existing facilities and to expand office space.
With this decision, the Hyundai Department Store Talent Development Center will be able to construct new office facilities utilizing the adjacent land. The decision includes exceptions to the maximum development scale application and changes to joint development (designation) for the construction of office facilities along with the adjacent land, which is expected to transform the center into a larger office space.
Jo Nam-jun, Director of the Urban Space Headquarters of Seoul City, stated, "Through this change in the Amsa District Unit Plan, we expect that the expansion of office facilities and the increase in the resident workforce will strengthen the central functions of the Amsa District and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
