The 'Dangjin Vocational Education Innovation District' is a project in which Dangjin City, the Office of Education, and local universities cooperate to foster local high school graduate industrial talent and establish a system for them to find employment and settle in local companies. The project will be implemented from 2023 to 2025 with a total budget of 2.5 billion KRW over three years.

This agreement is the second following the 2024 agreement, and was signed to recruit additional participating companies for the 2025 Dangjin Vocational Education Innovation District, foster company-tailored talent, and support their employment and settlement.

In 2024, the Dangjin Vocational Education Innovation District signed agreements with 10 companies in the steel and energy sectors, including Hyundai Steel, and operated various employment and career programs such as ▲strengthening employment capabilities and special lectures on generative artificial intelligence (AI) ▲company tours ▲company-tailored talent development education ▲career exploration education focused on Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

A total of 3,141 elementary, middle, and high school students participated in the programs, and notably, 54 out of 78 third-year vocational high school students who participated in the company-tailored talent development education succeeded in finding employment.

Dangjin City plans to accelerate the third year of the Dangjin Vocational Education Innovation District project by revitalizing the recruitment of high school graduates through company-tailored talent employment support projects for employment and settlement in accordance with this agreement.
