Heo Eun-ah Who Went to See 'Junstone': "Too Few People... Regret 'Naedonnaesan'"

"My Name Is in the Credits, but They Didn't Even Give Me an Invitation"

Former Reform New Party leader Heo Eun-ah, who lost her party leadership position after a power struggle, left a review after watching the documentary "Junstone Ear One," which chronicles the political journey of Reform New Party lawmaker Lee Jun-seok.

On the 19th, Heo posted on her social media with a photo of herself in front of empty movie theater seats, saying, "It's late, but here is my honest review (I paid for it myself)."

She added, "They said my name was listed fourth in the credits, but since they didn't even give me an invitation, and knowing how unethical they are, I went there myself."

Heo commented, "There were very few people. I leisurely took a certification photo before the movie started, but after the movie ended, I regretted paying to come all the way downtown."

Previously, Heo and Lee clashed over party leadership authority. The internal conflict within the Reform New Party intensified when Heo abruptly dismissed Kim Cheol-geun, the party secretary-general known to be a close aide of Lee, on December 16 last year.

On January 12, Heo held a press conference at the National Assembly, stating, "The essence of the Reform New Party incident is simple. It happened because I did not comply with Lee's shadow politics and tried to exercise the authority to appoint and dismiss the secretary-general," adding, "All other slanders and conspiracies against me are false." In contrast, Lee refuted Heo's claims on Facebook, saying, "I never contacted or requested anything from Heo regarding party affairs first."

Subsequently, the Reform New Party leadership, led by pro-Lee Jun-seok factions, decided on January 26 through a party member vote to remove Heo from her position.

Meanwhile, "Junstone Ear One" is a documentary that captures Lee's political life. It covers about a year of activities from when Lee resigned as leader of the People Power Party and began volunteering to educate low-income children in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, in March 2023, to founding the Reform New Party last year and running successfully in the 22nd general election in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. The film was released on the 6th and had a cumulative audience of 3,579 as of the 20th.
