The Graduate School of Social Convergence at Honam University (Dean Kim Deokmo) announced on the 20th that it held the opening ceremony for the 10th China CEO Program to create business opportunities in China and the Greater China region.
The opening ceremony, held on the first floor auditorium of the Honam University Confucius Academy on the 19th, was attended by over 50 people, including President Park Sangcheol of Honam University, Consul General Gu Jingqi of the Consulate General of China in Gwangju, President Moon Byungchae of the China CEO Program Alumni Association, President Yeo Hakyeong of the 4th class alumni association, President Oh Jihong of the 6th class alumni association, President Kim Youngseon of the 8th class alumni association, President Oh Hansu of the 9th class alumni association, as well as heads of local organizations and CEOs from the Gwangju area.
The ceremony included a welcoming speech by President Park Sangcheol, congratulatory remarks by Consul General Gu Jingqi, an introduction to the China CEO Program curriculum, and introductions of the new student body. The 9th class alumni association presented a token of encouragement at the event.
Lee Sangyun, Chairman of Neuron Motors Co., Ltd., was elected as the president to lead the 10th China CEO Program. Lee Sangyun is actively involved in community service, serving as the chairman of the security advisory committee at the Western Police Station, and has received commendations from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Minister of SMEs and Startups.
The China CEO Program consists of offline lectures by leading scholars and experts from Korea and China, as well as training sessions in China, and will run until December 3.
Jointly organized by the Graduate School of Social Convergence at Honam University and the Confucius Institute, the Honam University China CEO Program offers a systematic curriculum on China's history, culture, politics, economy, society, diplomacy, and language to provide an accurate understanding of China, which has emerged as a G2 nation.
All participants will receive a certificate of completion from the president of Honam University and various benefits, including enrollment in the Confucius Institute's Chinese conversation course.
