RaonSecure Establishes Digital Badge System at Kyungmin University HiVE Business Center

RaonSecure's blockchain-based digital credential platform, ‘OmniOne Badge,’ is expanding its scope of use by being utilized as a digital certificate in educational settings.

IT security and authentication platform company RaonSecure (CEO Soonhyung Lee, Jeonga Lee) announced on the 20th that it has signed a contract to establish a digital badge system to enhance educational innovation and learner competency certification with Kyungmin University (President Jiyeon Hong) and the HiVE (High Vocational Education Hub District) Project Center.

The 'Kyungmin University HiVE Project Center,' launched as a consortium between Kyungmin University and Uijeongbu City, aims to cultivate regionally engaged talent equipped with practical skills and experience through vocational education programs utilizing the university’s excellent human and physical infrastructure, providing various employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

RaonSecure will build a digital badge system linked with Kyungmin University HiVE Project Center’s Learning Management System (LMS) based on its OmniOne Badge. Through this, Kyungmin University will be able to certify learners’ academic achievements and competencies digitally and create an innovative environment for systematic management of learning progress.

Additionally, learners at the HiVE Project Center can visually confirm their learning achievements and completion status by receiving digital badges upon participation and completion of vocational education programs. The university can transparently manage learners’ academic performance, which is expected to enhance the reliability of learning outcomes.

RaonSecure’s OmniOne Badge provides highly reliable and secure credential authentication using blockchain technology that is difficult to forge or tamper with. Offered as Software as a Service (SaaS), it allows digital badge issuance without building an in-house system. It can be applied for various purposes such as educational credentialing, awards, licenses, and guarantees, making it useful for universities, public institutions, companies, and other organizations issuing credentials.

The OmniOne Badge is increasingly gaining market share by being used for issuing credentials by various institutions and companies, including university admission certificates and degree certificates, AI private certificates from Crowd Academy, an AI talent development institution, and e-portfolios from Edelink, an education platform development company.

Jongmoon Park, Head of RaonSecure’s Service Business Division, said, "This collaboration with Kyungmin University is expected to further innovate the educational environment through systematic and transparent learning management in educational settings," adding, "We will expand the digital badge system for educational innovation by collaborating with various educational institutions."
