Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation (President Min Kyung-sun) announced on the 20th that it signed a "Business Agreement for Establishing a Public Transportation Cooperation System and Enhancing Convenience for Provincial and City Residents" with Sejong Urban Transportation Corporation (President Do Soon-gu) on the 19th.

This agreement was prepared to innovatively improve the quality of transportation services and create a sustainable transportation environment through cooperation between the two organizations.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲ matters related to revitalizing public transportation use and enhancing convenience for provincial (city) residents ▲ matters related to future transportation, smart mobility, and platforms ▲ matters related to the operation of demand-responsive transport (DRT) ▲ expansion of transportation support services for vulnerable groups, among others.


Before signing the business agreement, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation and Sejong Urban Transportation Corporation held a kickoff meeting to discuss ways to improve public transportation services. Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation has strengths in metropolitan transportation operations such as the Metropolitan Mobility Support Center and Gyeonggi-do public bus operation support, as well as the introduction of smart mobility services like Ttokbus and Ttokta. Sejong Urban Transportation Corporation has shown excellent performance in public transportation service quality improvement through passenger transportation businesses such as BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) and Duruta, as well as operating the Transportation Academy.


Accordingly, the two organizations plan to share and cooperate in their respective areas of excellence to raise the overall level of public transportation services.


At the signing ceremony, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation President Min Kyung-sun and Sejong Urban Transportation Corporation President Do Soon-gu attended, and after the agreement was signed, the attendees toured the Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation Metropolitan Mobility Support Center facilities and shared key operational status.


After the agreement, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation plans to continuously cooperate by discussing practical cooperation measures through regular meetings with Sejong Urban Transportation Corporation, aiming to improve transportation services that provincial and city residents can directly experience. In particular, they will actively introduce smart mobility and innovative public transportation technologies to enhance transportation efficiency and expand eco-friendly transportation means.


Min Kyung-sun, President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, said, "This agreement is an important step toward the development of future transportation services such as smart mobility," adding, "Following the first meeting, we have concretized the direction of cooperation through the second discussion, and both organizations will do their best to lead public transportation innovation and provide transportation services that residents can feel."


Do Soon-gu, President of Sejong Urban Transportation Corporation, said, "Through cooperation with Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, we will strive to improve the quality of public transportation services and establish a citizen-centered smart transportation system," and added, "We hope this agreement will serve as an important foundation for the mutual growth of both organizations."
