Colorful Spring Flowers Fill the Streets Everywhere
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam will plant spring flowers throughout the city starting in mid-March to bring the warmth and vibrancy of spring to its citizens.
The city plans to plant colorful spring flowers in flowerpots, flower beds, flower bridges, and flower towers along major roads to refresh the living environment for residents and provide a visual delight for spring tourists.
The spring flowers to be planted this time include pansies, dianthus, osteospermum, and gazania. These seedlings, grown over the winter at the Yangsan Agricultural Technology Center in Habuk-myeon, will be distributed and planted in street flowerpots and flower beds, as well as administrative welfare centers and related institutions, spreading the scent of spring throughout Yangsan City.
On bridges, underpasses, and streetlights, flower bridges adorned with pink petunias and begonias will be installed to create a bright and beautiful urban landscape.
During the Mulgeum Cherry Blossom Festival, planned from late March to April, waves of yellow canola flowers will bloom along the Yangsan Stream, in the central and western plazas of Hwangsan Park, alongside the pink cherry blossoms.
A Yangsan City official stated, "We have planned the planting of various spring flowers to let citizens know that spring has arrived after the cold winter, to present them with beautiful scenery, and to help them welcome a vibrant spring. We hope that the spring flowers will add beauty to the daily lives of citizens and bring them happiness."
