LG CNS Partners with US AI Company to Advance 'Agentic AI'

Collaboration with W&B
Founded by Former OpenAI Executive

On the 19th (local time), LG CNS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AI company Weights & Biases (W&B) to strengthen the operational capabilities of Agentic AI. Agentic AI refers to AI that can autonomously make decisions, set its own goals, and execute them, going beyond generative AI.

Through this collaboration, LG CNS plans to advance its 'Agentic AI Integrated Service' for corporate clients. This service consists of three stages: AI transformation (AX) consulting, platform construction, and operation. In the operation stage, LG CNS will actively utilize W&B’s AI solutions to optimize the performance of Agentic AI and large language models (LLM), as well as to monitor quality. W&B’s 'Weave' is a solution that evaluates and verifies LLM performance to ensure AI provides reliable answers. 'Models' handles data registration, fine-tuning, and training status checks for AI model training, while also verifying the stability and security of AI model performance.

W&B is an AI company founded in 2017 in Silicon Valley, USA, by CEO Lucas Biewald, formerly of OpenAI, and CTO Sean Lewis, formerly of Google. It provides technology that helps track and manage the processes and results when creating or validating AI models. More than 1,500 companies worldwide, including global AI firms such as OpenAI, NVIDIA, and Cohere, use W&B’s solutions.

Previously, LG CNS has expanded partnerships with global AI companies, including Cohere, a Canadian Agentic AI company. To strengthen cooperation with startups in the Agentic AI and robotics sectors, LG CNS also held an 'Open Innovation Expo' in Silicon Valley from the 17th to the 19th.

Park Sang-yeop, CTO (Senior Executive Vice President) of LG CNS, stated, "We will actively collaborate with global companies that have capabilities in AI services, such as through the MOU with W&B. Through opportunities like the Open Innovation Expo, where we meet global companies, we will continuously discover companies with outstanding technologies."
