Gwangju City announced on the 20th that it conducted a 'Job Competency Training' on the 19th at the City Hall Mudeung Hall for those in charge of disaster response on-site action guidelines from the city, districts, and related agencies.
The on-site action guidelines are a manual that specifically details the procedures, content, duties, and roles that departments deployed to the scene must carry out when an actual disaster occurs.
This training was organized to raise awareness among staff about the importance of these guidelines and to strengthen on-site response in the event of various disasters and major accidents. Professor Son Arong from the National Disaster Safety Training Institute, who served as the instructor for the training, emphasized ▲the operational system of crisis management guidelines ▲understanding of collaboration systems for disaster response ▲the composition of local government on-site action guidelines ▲and action tips for each stage of disaster response.
Bae Bokhwan, Director of Citizen Safety, said, "We expect this training to help staff effectively supplement and improve the on-site action manual," and added, "We will continue to inspect and improve the guidelines so that they function smoothly at disaster sites and do our best to create a 'safe city Gwangju.'"
