20th Innovation: A New Model
Reflecting Golfers' Needs Based on 350,000 Swing DNA
Perfect Harmony of Feel, Speed, and Forgiveness
This is the best iron with 20 years of history. Mizuno Golf has introduced the JPX925 series irons. Since its first release in 2005, it has been a popular line among domestic golfers. The JPX925 series irons are a new product generating high expectations as the 20th innovation. They offer not only an exceptional hitting feel but also outstanding speed and forgiveness. This is based on the swing DNA of 350,000 people extracted through Mizuno's fitting system, Shaft Optimizer 3D. It responds to the increasingly diverse needs of golfers.
There are three lineups. The JPX925 Forged irons, which achieve the highest rebound performance ever in forged irons; the JPX925 Hot Metal irons, featuring excellent distance and forgiveness with high initial velocity and high trajectory; and the JPX925 Hot Metal Pro irons, making their debut in Korea.
The core technology of the JPX925 irons is the Contour Ellipse Face. It contains Mizuno's condensed innovative technology that further amplifies the coefficient of restitution. The thickness of the face varies like contour lines. This minimizes distance loss even on off-center hits. For the JPX925 Forged irons, the thinnest face thickness is 1.5mm, up to 30% thinner compared to the previous model. This maximizes ball speed and maintains maximum impact velocity.
Additionally, it incorporates Grain Flow Forged HD forging method and Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T) that realize ideal sound and feel at impact, along with new face materials tailored to each lineup’s characteristics. Left-handed golfers can also find the JPX925 Forged LH irons, and there is a women’s forged iron line, the JPX925 Forged Lady.
The JPX925 Hot Metal line commonly uses nickel-chromoly material, which is also used in aircraft landing gear. This allows for a thinner yet high-strength face. The concept is “an iron that flies no matter where you hit the face.” It leads to higher trajectory and precision. The JPX925 Hot Metal irons are for golfers who demand distance and forgiveness, while the JPX925 Hot Metal Pro irons are designed for players who prefer irons with distance, workability, and a small, straight neck.
