'One Month Travel in Geochang' Project
Geochang County in Gyeongsangnam-do is recruiting 15 teams to participate in the 'One Month Travel in Geochang' project until April 4.
The travel period is from April 16 to May 31. Participants can stay in Geochang for between 4 and 29 nights during this period, experience local tourism resources, and promote them through social networking services (SNS).
Each team will receive up to 70,000 won per day for accommodation, 70,000 to 100,000 won per person for experience expenses, and up to 20,000 won for insurance. Participants can also use the 'Geochang Tourist Taxi' 3-hour course operated by the county once for free. Those who hold a digital tourism resident card can also receive discounts at affiliated stores.
Eligibility is open to those aged 19 or older who reside outside Gyeongsangnam-do. Teams can consist of one or two people.
The county plans to recommend spring flower destinations that are ideal to visit in April and May, including: Deokcheon Seowon, famous for cherry blossoms surrounding its pond; Yongwonjeong, known for its unique cherry blossoms over the stone bridge; and Geochang Changpowon, where visitors can enjoy beautiful spring scenery.
In particular, Geochang County will offer a variety of attractions and hands-on events to participants in connection with the newly launched integrated spring festival, 'Geochang On Spring Festival,' this year.
County Governor Koo Inmo said, "Geochang County is perfectly prepared for anyone to travel here throughout all four seasons, in any direction. This spring, we have prepared a variety of content, including the spring festival held in Geochang, so I hope you visit and enjoy a special trip."
