Minister Yoon In-chon Congratulates 'Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho' on Winning the Jeon Young Open Men's Doubles Title

Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, sent a congratulatory message on the 17th (Korean time) to players Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho, who won the men's doubles title at the '2025 BWF World Tour Super 1000 All England Open' held in Birmingham, UK, expressing his congratulations and encouragement.

In his message, Minister Yoo said, "Congratulations to Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho for achieving the world’s top position," adding, "By conquering the 2025 Malaysia Open, Germany Open, and All England Open, they accomplished the remarkable feat of winning three consecutive international tournaments this year, bringing joy and excitement to our people." He further noted, "This victory is especially meaningful as it is the first since the 2012 win by Lee Yong-dae and Jung Jae-sung, marking a significant achievement after 13 years."


Minister Yoo stated, "We once again celebrate this valuable achievement with the public and look forward to their outstanding performance at the upcoming 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. We will always support them."


The 'All England Open Badminton Championships,' organized by the BWF, is the oldest and most prestigious tournament in the world, established in 1899. In this tournament, Korea secured two gold medals and one bronze medal, finishing third overall.
